ALLORAH DAY’S OBITUARY
ALLORAH DAY TURNEY
The Hebrew meaning of the name Allorah says it all: “The Lord is my light.”
Before our daughter was even born, God was preparing her for a higher purpose.
On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 6:46 am, our little princess fulfilled this purpose and accomplished her life’s ultimate goal of joining God in Heaven. Allorah Day was only fourteen months old, but we rejoice that she is in the arms of our Savior. We rejoice because of the memory of her joyful, bright soul that touched anyone in her presence on this Earth. Above all, we REJOICE because her story is going to bring innumerable people to know God and allow them to live with Him one day in Eternity.
The beloved daughter of Justin Scott Turney and Allison Lea Turney was born in Cookeville, TN, on May 9, 2019. Her birth made Ella Louise Turney a big sister, and there may never be a closer sibling relationship than the one they shared.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 NKJV
Allorah Day will always be one of the greatest gifts they have ever received in their lives, and they are so grateful that God chose them to be the family that would be able to behold her spirit’s joy at its fullest. They will miss her always, but they are eager to see her again one day soon. “So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (NKJV, Psalm 90:12).
She is preceded in passing by her great grandparents: Louise Roberts Price, James Lee Price, Carson Dewitt Sampley, and Lois Lee Turney. Sorrowfully missed by all who knew her, especially by her father, Justin Scott Turney; mother, Allison Lea Turney; big sister, Ella Louise Turney; grandfather, Scott Arthur Turney; grandmother, Connie Samantha Turney; aunt, Samantha Daniele Turney; grandfather, Stephen Dewitt Sampley; grandmother, Jennifer Kay Anderson; aunt, Victoria Louise Sampley; and many, many great grandparents, great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
Spread Allorah’s message of joy, love, and light to all. Let her memory represent how we are to live our lives and the purpose that we should all strive to achieve in our short time here. Let your light shine and give God all of the glory.
